The Libelium-SmartDataSystem Solar PV Solution kit enables real-time monitoring of solar photovoltaic systems tracking overall system performance and calculating energy production. It includes sensors to accurately measure solar radiation together with cell and ambient temperatures and the ability to integrate existing inverters. It additionally includes a Gill weather station. This high quality instrument provides accurate meteorological information (wind and precipitation). This kit provides tools that help maximizing the return on investment (ROI) through a tight tracking of standard solar metrics such as the Performance Ratio, Solar Coverage and Inverter Efficiency.

Note: This kit is pre-programmed by Libelium. If the customer connects any additional device (inverters, grid analyzers…) using the Socket splitter probe RS-485, it will be required to re-program the kit by the customer.

Note: Only EU/BR versions features a GPS receiver

Software Solution


SmartDataSystem Photovoltaic Monitoring Platform enable field technicians and asset owners to accurately calculate and monitor energy production and system performance for grid-tied, hybrid and off-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) systems of all sizes.

In combination with Libelium hardware, the SmartDataSystem Platform collects and monitor ambient and physical parameters directly related to the photovoltaic modules and combines them with data from the inverter to enable real-time monitoring, advanced analytics and automatic reporting.

Additionally, for grid-tied self-consumption PV systems installed on buildings, the SmartDataSystem Platform provides a Global Energy Management module that helps optimize energy generation and consumption by analysing usage patterns.
